With Ken Whisenhut out and Bruce Arians in down in Arizona I expect to see some quick improvement. Arians stepped in as interim HC when Chuck Pagano was diagnosed with leukemia and he thrived. Arians did have rookie stand out Andrew Luck and a veteran WR in Reggie Wayne, but the O line was patched together and they didn't have a real threat out the back field to start the season. Arians showed he can make due with a group of average players and a couple stars on offense. In Arizona he'll once again have to piece together a O line from basically scratch. And he'll have to add another versatile TE. But at least he'll have a healthy Ryan Williams, Larry Fitzgerald, and on defense he'll have the playmakers he didn't have in Indy last season.
Arians offensive scheme from last season was pretty simple. He used a lot of 2 TE sets, and by doing this there's more protection in the passing game. By giving the QB a little extra time it opens up chances for big plays downfield. Andrew Luck took advantage and was finding speedster rookie WR T.Y. Hilton quite often over the top. Arians will have to figure out who's playing QB for his team but whoever it is should do alright. While the Cardinals do have questions at QB, they have plenty of depth at WR. If Arians can get the Cardinals to believe on offense which I think he will they could be s dangerous team in the near future. Arians IS one of football's GREATEST offensive minds and should be able to turn this team around.
